Detail Description On The PQ Specification
Load Studies & Energy Demand Interactions
The parameters that will be recorded are kW demand, kVA demand, kVAR demand and maximum demand throughout the durations of the measurement.
The readings recorded are of average value. The logging interval in this case is at 15 minutes and sampling at every 1 second – Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
Results at the end of the measurement can be peak, minimum and maximum and average of the parameters.
The below graph will be obtained.
Power Study
The parameters that will be recorded are Voltage and Current RMS value for each individual phase throughout the durations of the measurement.
The readings recorded are of average value. The logging interval in this case is at 15 minutes and sampling at every 1 second - Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
Power Factor & Frequency
The leading/lagging of the power factor for all the phases will be logged at every 10 minutes at the sampling of every 1 second – Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
Flickers
Flickers will be captured and calculated according to the IEC 6100-4-15 with build in pass/fail indications together with the index of the flickers. This flicker indexes will be logged at every 10 minutes – Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
Harmonics
The THD and individual harmonics up to 63th will be sampled and logged
Right after, Voltage and Current THD for all phases will be logged at every 10 minutes at the sampling rate of 1 second – Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
Voltage Sag/Swell
The threshold of the voltage sag is recommended to be set at 90% and swell to be set at 110%. The Threshold value can be reset to melt the PQ Study requirement and local statutory requirement and standard.
The result of the above capturing are the magnitude, duration, timestamp and the waveform of the sags or swells.
Voltage Transient
Detect and record as fast as 17us up to half a cycle. The threshold for transient is set at 125% of the nominal. It will capture the voltage surge as transient when it happens between 0-10ms time and the magnitude is shooting up more than 125%.
Unbalance voltage
WHETHER YOU CALL IT "unbalance" (the NEMA standard term) or "imbalance," equality of all three phase voltages is the basis for design and rating of three phase systems and apparatus, including motors.
The value of the voltage unbalance is logged at every 10 minutes at the sampling of 1 second. The unit of the voltage unbalance is set at % – Can be customized depends on requirement & specification in the study and analysis input requirement.
